Reducing costs in the data center requires looking at all operational and architectural aspects in the data center from choosing the best data center location, hardware platform selection, power delivery chain management, cooling efficiency, virtualization platform selection, capacity planning, storage efficiency and SAN integration, and personnel management. However, reducing costs within the data center should not sacrifice business continuity. Attendees will leave this workshop with knowledge and approaches toward reducing data center costs without sacrificing application availability.
